happy birthday to me LOL

Okay so for as long as I can remember I've been trying to find an "I ♥ NY" t-shirt at Value Village. So I'm in there on my birthday with a couple friends, and I managed to find TWO OF THEM RIGHT AWAY AFTER YEARS OF SEARCHING. I was so angry lol. Anyways, I kept the yellow one and left the white one, (I think somebody tried to shrink it because it fit fine through the shoulders but was about four or five inches shorter than the average T-shirt. And I'm not really one for midriff hahahaha.)
I have found some good stuff over the last week or two so there will be more posts don't worry.

Stay classy,

TO MY VALUED READERS:

All two or three of you, LOL. I realize I haven't made a post in a long time and I apologize. I've been super busy this week what with turning 20 and all, and I'll make it up to you. PROMISE. In the mean time I leave you with pics of Zac Efron from the GQ I left in the break room at work, because he's fucking sexy and I want to grow my hair out so that it looks like it does in the pictures. Opinions on the hair, please.

I forgot how much I love this t-shirt haha.

So I bought this t-shirt at good ol' UO a month or two ago and tbh, I completely forgot about it. LOL. My memory was jolted by a giant poster inside a Taco Del Mar for the 1966 film by Bruce Brown. I have since started wearing it and thankfully the crappy BC weather has made this outfit a bit more feesable. I'm wearing my step dad's jean jacket, acid wash jeans, and one of my 8 million different western shirts that look good over everything. I've also seen this for women as a tank, can't remember where though.

OKAY SO

I really want a pair of raybans. Waste of money? :(
I want them so bad I don't even care anymore.

READY FOR THOSE FLASHIN LIGHTS

OKAY so as you remember, I was lusting after this western shirt sans sleeves from UO a few days ago. This is my take on it. Rather than heading down to Granville st I just hacked the sleeves off of a clearance AE western shirt instead lolol. Pictures were taken around 1 AM this morning with my best friend Jaclyn.

ANOTHER old one.

I still had these pictures on my camera when I emptied it last, I totally forgot about them. Funny story about what happened when I was taking them, I'll get to that later though.
The main point of this post is to tell you just how much I love the jean jacket I'm wearing. It isn't thrifted, but it's still from back in the day. It used to be my step dad's and he allegedly loved it. To be honest I can't say I blame him, but when I found it there was a receipt in the pocket dated from 2001, so I think it's safe to say he isn't going to miss it TOO much. I wore it with a yellow t-shirt from winners and a pair of av sunglasses with a matching yellow trim. The t-shirt says something like "WHERE WORDS FAIL" and "MUSIC SPEAKS" in different speech bubbles. Not too original but the price was right and the graphic was cute.

SO ANYWAYS, as I'm hanging out behind this little building up by where I live, (so nobody sees me being lame and taking pictures of myself) this dude pulls up in his SUV and starts yeling at me asking what I'm doing. Apparently the building is some kind of pump house for all the pipes on the mountain I live on, and he has it in his head that I'm trying to get past the 10-foot fence topped with barbed wire to play around by all the signs that say "DANGER: HIGH VOLTAGE." I pointed this out and asked WHY I'd want to get over there, and he just said "I've seen stupider things" and asked me to take the sunglasses off so he could get a better look at my face. LOL. I laughed at him and he drove off.

There's a better picture of the yellow trim on the sunglasses and the the wear/tear on the collar of the jacket to your left.
xoxoxo,

MY TRIBUTE TO FARRAH :(

As all of you PROBABLY know, Micheal Jackson is dead now. I felt kinda bad though because Farrah Fawcett died like 2 hours before him and he kind of stole all her thunder. LOL. So today I'm wearing my fav (actually my only) Farrah graphic T, picturing her riding down the street on a skateboard. Awwww. It was really bright out when I was taking the pictures though and the sun was in my eyes, so I look like a d-bag LOL.

I paired up the T-shirt with a pair of man skinnies and an oversized button down shirt that I thrifted a while ago, I'm assuming from the late 80's/early 90's. And for the record my boxers were navy with little sail boats on them.

RIP FARRAH :(

LOL, LOL

looks familiar, right?

LOL BUT WAIT.

That's right. AE has hit an all new low in the "let's copy American Apparel" category. I actually laughed so hard when I saw this. OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH AE. To be fair though, it's actually pretty cool in all the other colours. Like for American Eagle, anyways.

I need to get to Urban Outfitters again.

If only for the hoodie. I definately DO NOT remember seeing half of this when I was in there last, which is probably a good thing because otherwise I'd be a hell of a lot poorer right now.

I'm thinking I can just cut the sleeves off of a thrifted flannel shirt and save myself a lot of $$$ there, but the rest is defs going to be harder. I'm actually in love with the Gatsby T and I'm really starting to cling to this whole wide-neck-on-guys trend. I think I'm just going to go ahead and bookmark the "New Clothing" page on their website, even if I can't afford half of it.

WHAT I WORE TO LYDIAS

There are three things you are going to learn about me. The first is that I love gingham and wear that shirt way too much. The second is that I love triblend no matter what you say about American Apparel. And the third is that I really fucking love the wayfarer. The Donny Fontaine-inspired glasses I'm wearing have since been re-called because of a "quality issue", so let's hope I don't get lead poisoning, LOL. The bottoms are old jeans that are too big on me now that have since been turned into shorts. Moral of the story: Never leave me alone with scissors if I have nothing to wear that day. Triblend tank, self explanatory. I wore converse with this for shoes and when I was at work before I left for Lyd's, some customer was like "OMFG I LUV UR SHOEZ"

Seriously they are just converse get over it.

PS: This is what I was going for with the glasses.

You'll probably see more of Donny, don't worry.

OLD STUFF

It's July, obviously it's too hot to actually wear this. I don't care. This is the first one you get to see because I haven't taken any yet and I enjoy the sweater more than anything else. Also note the composition underneath, mineral wash jeans, and the shoes. I'm pretty pleased with the shoes. I can't remember how much I paid for the sweater, but I think it was like, $3.99? $4.99? Something like that anyways. Probably one of my fav Value Village finds in any case. That was the trip that I gave up on all other locations except for the Langley one. I also found a seven dollar American Apparel track jacket that day, yeeeeeeeeee.
